INUKA NAMI FOUNDATION GALA 2025
A Night of Purpose, Unity, and Impact
The Inuka Nami Foundation Charity Gala was a remarkable and inspiring evening made possible through the unwavering support of our partners, sponsors, donors, and well-wishers both locally and internationally. We extend our deepest gratitude to each and every supporter. Without your generosity, belief, and commitment, this event would not have been possible.
Hosted at the elegant Villa Rosa Kempinski, the gala was a resounding success. The venue provided a seamless, warm, and professional setting that allowed the evening to flow smoothly, creating an atmosphere of reflection, connection, and celebration. We are sincerely grateful to the Villa Rosa Kempinski team for their exceptional hospitality and support.
We also wish to acknowledge our outstanding Master of Ceremonies, Lona Kendi, whose grace, warmth, and professionalism kept the audience engaged throughout the evening. Special appreciation goes to our Chairman, Edwin Olweny, whose leadership and coordination ensured the event ran flawlessly from start to finish. We also extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible support team — Liz Gitonga, Calvin Koome, Sandra Nicoleta, and Ren Kimathi — whose behind-the-scenes efforts, coordination, and commitment contributed greatly to the success of the gala.
A defining moment of the evening was the powerful keynote address delivered by our Founder and CEO, Rhoda Olweny. Her speech reflected visionary leadership, deep compassion, and a bold commitment to breaking the silence around mental health. Her dedication continues to guide Inuka Nami Foundation’s mission of advocating for open conversations, healing, and community empowerment.
Throughout the evening, critical conversations and highlights underscored the urgent need for mental health awareness, early intervention, and sustained support. The gala reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in promoting mental wellness and reminded us that mental health challenges should never be ignored or faced alone.
A candle-lighting moment was observed to honor and remember loved ones lost to suicide. Guests were invited to pause in silence, creating a powerful space for reflection, compassion, and shared grief. The moment deeply moved many attendees, as it resonated with personal experiences of loss and highlighted the growing and concerning rise in suicide-related deaths. This tribute served as a reminder of the urgency to break the silence, strengthen support systems, and continue advocating for mental health awareness and prevention.
As we move forward, we encourage everyone to continue spreading mental health awareness, sharing practical mental wellness tips, supporting one another, and treating mental health with the seriousness and compassion it deserves. Together, through continued advocacy, partnerships, and collaboration, we can build resilient and healthier communities.
We warmly invite individuals, organizations, and institutions to support our future initiatives by reaching out to us for referrals, partnerships, and collaborations. Together, let us continue breaking the silence and shaping a future where mental well-being is prioritized and protected.
💚 Thank you for walking this journey with us.
